Adults - Edvard Munch - The Sun

The sun is the central image in a cycle of eleven murals created for the University of Oslo in 1911, using a stripe technique that Munch had already developed in other paintings. An explosion of light, very different from the darkness of "The Scream": the color brings to life a multitude of different shades, reflected in the water of a Norwegian fjord in a style so innovative that it is reminiscent of abstract art.
