René Magritte - The Empty Signature

One of the paintings completed towards the end of Magritte's life was The Empty Signature in 1965. The painting is also known as Le Blanc Seing and La Carte Blanche. Magritte's paintings are often illogical and play with the viewer's mind. What is special about The Empty Signature is that it is literally illogical and contradictory, as it is an optical illusion.
