Salvador Dalí - The Meditative Rose

Dalí loved to use mythological themes in his paintings. In Greek mythology, the goddess of love, Aphrodite, was born from the foam of the sea with a white rose bush. The rose only acquired its red color through Aphrodite's adultery with the beautiful Adonis.
