Adults - René Magritte - Hegel's Holiday

In his own words, Magritte was plagued by a question: how to depict a glass of water in a painting in a way that would not be indifferent? And after painting the dozens of glass pictures, he came up with a dialectical composition that combines two opposing relationships with water - containing it and repelling it. Magritte called this surreal painting a homage to Hegel's dialectics.
