Piet Mondrian - Victory Boogie Woogie

The Second World War forced Mondrian to move to New York, and the hectic life of the city influenced him: his compositions, hung with a new orientation and freed from black lines, became dynamic and evoked the rhythm of the metropolis. Victory Boogie Woogie is his last, unfinished work, a symbol of a revolutionary change in his art.
