Adults - Salvador Dalí - The meditative rose

Dalí loved to explore mythological themes in his paintings. In Greek mythology, the goddess of love, Aphrodite, was born from the foam of the sea with a white rose bush. The rose only got its red color through Aphrodite's adultery with the beautiful Adonis.
