Claude Monet - Poppy Field near Argenteuil

Monet presented the Poppy Field to the public in 1874 at the first Impressionist exhibition in the disused studio of the photographer Nadar. Today it is one of the most famous paintings in the world, evoking the lively atmosphere of a walk through the fields on a summer's day.
