Edvard Munch - Inger on the Beach

Inger, Munch's younger sister, looks out over the shore in this 1889 painting. Åsgårdstrand was the setting for this artwork, a place that inspired many of the artist's works. Today it is housed in the Art Museum in Bergen, Norway, while the best collection of his works can be found in the Munch Museum in Oslo.
