Vincent van Gogh - Self-portrait

The self-portrait, which may have been Van Gogh's last portrait, was painted in September 1889, shortly before he left Saint Rémy-de-Provence in the south of France. Self-portraits were an important part of his work; he painted himself as he often lacked the money to pay models.
